Welcome to the website of the Sheffield Society of Aeromodellers (SSA).

We are a group of aeromodellers mainly from the Sheffield UK area with many model flying interests – including slope soaring, indoor rc aircraft, electric powered rc airplanes, rc helicopters, control line and free flight.

The club has the use of two electric flying fields in the Sheffield area and access to slope soaring sites, but we are in the process of looking for a flying field to buy, or to lease on a long time basis, which would be solely for our use and which could be developed to meet our specific requirements.

In normal (non covid) times we also hold club meetings including model shows, swap meets/auctions, meals, demonstrations, etc.
